While Tumbarumba may give the impression of a quiet country town, every now
and then life is life is spiced up a bit with festivals, events, rodeos and
shows.
Come and join the celebrations of music, food, wine and culture at
TumbaFest, as well as the exciting New Year's Day Rodeo and the Tumbarumba
Gold Cup Races.
Khancoban, at the south end of the shire annually hosts the exciting Upper
Murray Challenge in October, and for the fishing enthusiast, the week long
TroutFest in November.
Cellar doors, Artists on Parade Gallery, Gone Barny and Asgard Nursey, the
Boggy Creek Show, the Tumbarumba Museum and the Pioneer Women's Hut provide
some of the absorbing entertainment and browsing opportunites.

The annual Tumbarumba Campdraft is to be held in January, at the Tumbarumba

Tumbarumba Races
This is a great day out,normally held in February. The highlight is the
running of the Tumbarumba Cup. There are fashions on the field, on site
bookies, TAB facilities and wine and beer sales.
Tumbafest
Tumbarumba comes alive on the last weekend in February with Tumbafest. This
is a weekend of non stop music and entertainment, with market and food
stalls, and the opportunity to taste the local cool climate wines.

Tumbarumba Endurance Ride
The annual Tumbarumba Endurance Ride is held at Easter. Tumbarumba Racecourse
is the base for riders and horses who compete a clover leaf course. The event
usually attracts over 100 riders.
Tooma Gymkhana
A longstanding event on Easter Saturday popular with local families and
visitors. A day of novelty events for horses and riders of all ages, and
foot sprint races.

Lions Tumbarumba Shire Charity Trail Ride
The inaugural ride was held in May 2009 and was followed by another
successful ride in 2010. The organisers have decided to make this an annual
event on the first weekend in May.
